In recent days, I confronted Basics to the guidelines and good practices given by the WordPress.org theme repositery. The Theme Unit Test is a good way to see how behave a WordPress theme in a “hostile environment”. Basics is not doing too badly, regarding the fact, that it is supposed to be a blank theme. Indeed, Basics doesn’t have all the pages like single.php, category.php, tag.php, author.php, etc. that you typically find within themes. (which did not prevent him from operate). Continue reading
