[Version 0.5] HTML5 Boilerplate 4.0.1 and fix for caption shortcode

Since WordPress 3.4, the caption shortcode with figure and figcaption has to be fixed because a deliberate change in WordPress 3.4. Instead of having caption=”” as an attribute of the “caption” shortcode, WordPress inserts the caption into the main content of the shortcode, after the image and in between the caption tag of the shortcode. This change in 3.4 was necessary to allow for HTML in captions. Meanwhile, HTML5 Boilerplate 4.0.1 was issued since a few days. Two good raisons to make some updates to Basics and Beyond Basics! Both Basics and Beyond Basics are now on Github!

It’s been a long time that I wanted to put my WordPress themes on Github to make it more easiest to take away. Actually, If You always can download the zip files, I recommend You to clone the projets from their respective directories. Indeed, once I’d taken over the various controls to work effectively with Git, downloading zip probably will be made mainly from Github. Continue reading

Version 0.3.2 for Basics and Beyond Basics

The basic theme Basics and the child theme Beyond Basics are at version 0.3.2. Some modifications are cosmetics while others fixes bugs more or less annoying. The three more important updates are about: the main and the second loop located in the home.php file; a display issues of the Search form when using the Search Widget; and a brand new grid system.
