Basics is internationalization ready: all strings are properly nest within
_e( 'my string', 'basics' ), etc. By default, if you set your primary language for your site in en_US or fr_FR it may work without action on your part. Otherwise, simply set
define('WPLANG', 'en_US'); in wp-config.php. If you want Basics in another language than fr_FR or en_US, you may use the basic.pot file. Thanks for sharing your translation.
